About S.R. Telford

I started my first business at 20, after leaving the Army: a custom print shop overlooking the ocean in Venice Beach, California. Three years later, I returned to Riverside, began working with a contractor, and prepared my first construction documents. I have been doing that work ever since.

After several years with Anderson Construction in Moreno Valley, I established my independent building design practice. The one extended exception was eight years with Wood, Morris and McTier in Macon, Georgia, where our team prepared construction documents for hospitals around the world. The architects there were generous with their knowledge. Working alongside them on real projects gave me an education for which I remain grateful.

For more than 50 years, including the last 35 in Arizona, I have worked to prepare complete building designs that serve everyone who depends on them. I pay particular attention to the men and women in the field who must build from the documents. Crews have told me that my drawings help them work with fewer problems, change orders, and delays. Their word of mouth built my reputation, and I take care to earn it on every project.
